Course Aims: The goal of this course is to expose graduate students to the discipline of Social Psychology. This course is designated as a survey course; thus, a broad range of topics in the area of Social Psychology will be covered throughout the semester. This course should inspire new directions in students’ research areas. Discussion is encouraged!

Text: No text will be used. Articles will be available from the office of the Social Secretary, Pam Riddle.

Research Idea Papers: These are 2-3 page papers that entail proposing a novel research idea in any are of study that is based on social psychological principles.

Class Presentations: Each student is responsible for one in-class presentation. Articles are listed below.

Special Note: This syllabus is a work in progress. Changes and modifications may be made throughout the semester.

All students are responsible for maintaining the highest standards of honesty and integrity in every phase of their academic careers. The penalties for academic dishonesty are severe and ignorance is not an acceptable defense.
